Corporate Iftar: How to Organize It in Astana

Corporate Iftar: How to Organize It in Astana

This is not a trend or a marketing product — it is a meaningful and well-grounded reason to bring employees together for a collective iftar. The popularity of corporate iftars is rapidly growing and has become a standard practice for many large companies. An increasing number of employees observe fasting during the holy month of Ramadan, including both experienced professionals and young specialists. Spiritual self-development positively influences mental well-being and fosters a culture of effective teamwork and collegial interaction.

A few years ago, a corporate iftar usually meant organizing dinner at the office after working hours. Today, corporate and private iftars in Astana have become an essential part of the corporate calendar for large businesses. Similar to a gala dinner format, a corporate iftar typically includes two hot courses: the main course is served in the first part of the evening, followed by a short program pause and then a lighter, portioned second course.

Conceptually, the event scenario may include instrumental performances — both soloists and quartets. An ethno-folk program perfectly complements gastronomic pauses and transition blocks while the second course is being prepared. The host moderates guest seating and coordinates both planned and spontaneous employee speeches.

One of the key highlights of such an evening is its warmth and sincerity. Every employee — from top management to line staff — may share their personal experience of observing the fast. This format reveals not only professional qualities but also the moral values within the team.

A separate segment of the program may include a historical narration accompanied by a string ensemble — a musical journey into the history of the Kazakh people, presenting each instrument, its sound, symbolic depth, and its role in the nomadic way of life. Such a scenario enriches the evening both spiritually and educationally.

A corporate iftar is not team building or a typical corporate party. It is an evening of open conversations, sincere wishes, mentorship, and knowledge exchange. Gifts also play an important role in reinforcing the shared experience. Guests receive branded gift packages: organizers and fuel or car wash certificates for men; cosmetic certificates and elegant accessories for women. Each package also includes treats prepared for suhoor, the early morning meal before fasting.

When ordering a corporate iftar in Astana, it is best to trust experienced companies — and we are proud to be among them.

Today, organizing a high-quality concert program for a Kazakh wedding in Astana can cost around 2 million tenge as a full-service package. And believe it, this budget can provide professionally selected performers. It usually includes an experienced and tactful host who works well with any audience and charges a fair fee, as well as a professional theater group of 7 performers who will accompany your celebration with national performances at a solid level. One of the unique features of such a theater group is its versatility. After welcoming the in-laws (kudalar), the male performers can transform into a vocal trio and present an impressive retro music block. Meanwhile, the female performers can change into traditional costumes and perform the “Kamazhai” dance and other national dances, nicely enriching the overall wedding scenario. With a team of about 8 people, you get a complete package: a bilingual host, theatrical performances for welcoming guests, the bride’s entrance, and depending on the format — the “synsu” farewell ritual or even a special performance for the traditional serving of meat.

Berik is arguably one of the most genuine hosts in the industry. He came to the stage through hands-on experience, supported by strong theoretical knowledge. Before becoming a host, he worked as a sound engineer for many well-known and high-end hosts in the capital. Years behind the console allowed him to observe dozens of hosting styles, audience reactions, and communication techniques. This helped him deeply understand the psychology of celebrations and define his own professional path. Berik knows that success at an event is rooted in understanding people. At the same time, he clearly realizes that not everything depends on the host alone.
