Stage Artist Rustem Amirbekov
My name is Rustem Meirambekovich Amirbekov. I was born on March 20, 2000, in the city of Arkalyk, Kostanay region. From an early age, I had a strong curiosity about life. I was always eager to try new things, explore the world around me, and search for activities that could truly inspire me. I tested myself in sports, arts, and various creative fields, always dedicating myself fully. My interests were broad, and I constantly tried to find my place in different areas.
In 2019, I graduated from Arkalyk Polytechnic College. In 2023, I graduated with honors from the Aqan Seri Higher College of Culture and entered the university of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography, majoring in Ballet Mastery (Choreography Direction).
During my studies, I actively participated in scientific conferences, student projects, and the social life of the university. I also contributed to organizing cultural events, where I was able to demonstrate my creative abilities. I performed directing roles in theatrical and choreographic productions, bringing students together and organizing the entire preparation process. I actively participated in concerts and festivals held at the academy and became a prize winner in several international competitions. These experiences significantly contributed to the development of my leadership, creative, and organizational skills.
In 2025, within the framework of the academic mobility program, I had the opportunity to continue my studies in Russia at GITIS (The Russian Institute of Theatre Arts). This experience gave a new impulse to my professional and personal development and opened opportunities to refine my creative skills at an international level.
Since 2023, while continuing my studies, I have worked at the state concert organization Kazakhconcert. By participating in creative projects, I gained a deeper understanding of stage culture. I performed in concert programs together with the ethno-folk ensemble “Turan”, the folk ensemble “Astana Sazy”, the state dance theatre “Naz”, as well as ensembles “Sazgen Sazy” and “Halyk Kazyna”. Working with these groups allowed me to deeply feel the richness of national art and master various styles and directions.
Together with other creative teams, I also participated in the international project World Nomad Games, contributing to the presentation of Kazakhstan’s cultural heritage on the global stage. During this event, I was involved not only in choreographic performances but also actively participated in organizational and stage coordination work. This experience further strengthened my creative, organizational, and teamwork skills.
In my free time, I enjoy learning to play the violin, playing chess, and practicing volleyball. I also like reading professional and artistic literature, watching theatrical performances, and visiting art galleries — activities that contribute to my spiritual and creative development. Creating choreographic performances and preparing stage props for them is also an important source of my inspiration. Studying mythology, history, and different cultures helps me better understand stage characters and ideas, enriching my artistic vision.
Currently, I live in the city of Astana and work in the “Gulder” ensemble of the state concert organization Kazakhconcert. At the same time, I am developing my own dance studio — IP “On Kadam”. The main goal of this studio is to develop the creative potential of young people through dance by combining national and contemporary choreography, helping them discover themselves, think freely, and appreciate cultural heritage.
All my achievements and my creative journey have been possible thanks to the people who have always supported me. These are my parents, who believed in me and guided me, my teachers who gave me knowledge and education, and my friends and colleagues who inspired me. They supported every step I took and helped me overcome difficulties, giving me the strength to continue my creative path.
Even today, their belief and support inspire me to reach new heights.
